Frequently Asked Questions

And some that I wish would be asked

What’s Special about working with you?

I know that editorial services are a luxury, and that you might not be able to afford going back to an editor again and again. I try very hard to explain why I’m making the notes I make so that you can learn from each edit and apply your newfound knowledge to future books. I also use lots of puns.

Can you Recommend my book for film or tv?

No. All work I take on is in an editorial capacity only.

What Time zone are you in?

Pacific Standard Time.

What is your most frequently used punctuation mark?

The em-dash.

What Genres do you work in?

Everything but hard scifi; I have particular experience in fantasy, contemporary romance, and historical fiction.

Did you need a master's degree to get into publishing?

No, but I had a lot of internships.

What book have you re-read the most?

A tie between Night Watch by Terry Pratchett and Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I’ve read both upwards of 15 times, and then stopped counting.

What do you do Besides Editing?

I play lots of video games and then I embroider fan art of said video games.
