Developmental Editing: Novels
There’s nothing I love more than rolling up my sleeves and diving into a big developmental edit. The service will include a line edit of the text and a 5-10 page essay that will explain what is working an not working in the text by examining major characters and their arcs and motivations, highlighting places for plot to expand, and pulling out world building questions.
I shall also provide an annotated, line edited manuscript.
Pricing is dependent on genre and word count.
Editorial Assessment
Do you love the idea of getting an analysis of your manuscript but aren’t sure if you need a full developmental edit? In an editorial assessment, I can provide thoughtful discussion of characters and plot, while leaving off some of the deeper structural issues. With an editorial assessment, I’ll provide a 5-10 page essay, but no annotated manuscript.
