I am a children’s book editor with over eight years of experience at major publishing houses including Simon & Schuster, Penguin Books, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. I have been lucky enough to work on bestsellers, award winners, and everything in between.

What Do I Edit?

I’ve edited books for ages 0-18 (and the adults who love YA too): picture books, early readers, chapter books, middle grade, and young adult. I’ve worked with fiction and nonfiction, and have particular experience in fantasy and historical fiction.

What Makes My Editorial Style Unique?

There are scores of editors and agents out there, and while we do similar jobs, we all have different styles. I tend towards a very verbose explanatory style of edits. I want to make sure you understand what I’m asking for and why, so that you can take the lessons you’ve learned here and apply them to future projects.
